Thanksgiving is an important holiday in USA and Canada that is celebrated in November and October respectively. Although this date be recognized in those countries, thanksgiving is present in many other places like China, England, Greece,but ,in fact it started in England. It is a day to be thankful for every good thing that happened in your life during the year, and it's is done by parties and prayers with your family and friends.
Thanksgiving started with some pilgrims that came to Plymouth - currently Massachusetts USA in 1641. As the harvest was great when they arrived in this new country, due to the help of the Americans, the pilgrims did a supper to them as a way of thanking. Every year they enjoy in partiers.
In 1789 the president George Washington announced that Thanksgiving would be celebrated in the last Thursday of November, to honor the United States Constitution.
Thanksgiving in Brazil the president Gaspar Dutra visited the U.S. at the invitation of National Cathedral of Washigtion,D.C.,he was enamored by the concept and brought it to his homeland.In southern Brazil,It is a sort of expressing gratitude to Almighty for an enormous harvest.Although claimed for its Carnival celebrations they can´t be undermined in the other festivities.
In São Paulo,this date isn´t comemorate.Because our culture is different and the south states were colonized for Germans and Italians.Then, eg:Their thoughts don´t make part of Brazil.The education and respect are different from the others states.
Ca: I am thankful for my life.Because withouth it I couldn´t change the world in the future.All the tenagers will can change environment,education,prejudice,wars,misery.I belive on it.
La: I am thankful for having my family and friends next to me and be a heathy person.
